What Am I Getting Into?

The Forum is all about opportunities, not obligations. Here is what to expect from various different types of involvement in Forum activities:

If you are on the e-mail list:

  • You are not giving your support to any particular cause since the Forum as a whole does not take positions.
  • You are not required to come to any meetings and there are no dues to pay.
  • You can contribute to the discussions in the online conferences.
  • You can vote in the online polls.
  • You can suggest calendar items.
  • You can start your own working group.
  • You can represent a working group on the Liaison group.
  • You can be part of the Hearth group.
  • You will initially receive a daily summary of the discussions in the online conferences. You can change this to either a weekly summary or no summary at all, or customize which discussions you want to keep track of, by going to the Summaries link at the top of the online conferences.
  • You will receive occasional e-mails informing you about FCF-related activities.
  • Your e-mail address is protected from public view.
  • You can get off the e-mail list any time you want to.

If you would like to get on the e-mail list, just click here.

If you are part of a working group:

  • The expectations for involvement are set by each working group.
  • If you are not on the e-mail list you will be encouraged, but not required, to get on it.
