The Friends of Freeland are working to improve the look and pedestrian safety of the Downtown Freeland area. We will begin our actual work with the relandscaping of the US Bank at the corner of Harbor and Main. We have received a grant that will be used to fund the project. It would be helpful to have an opportunity to share the FOF plan with the committee at some future date.

Marlane, our committee of the Freeland 2025 project met last night at the Freeland Library and began a discussion of how we can contribute to the efforts to improve the look, feel, appearance of Freeland. We would like to have some direct contact with people who have been involved in the previous work that you mention on landscaping grants and related work of groups such as Friends of Freeland, so that we aren't "reinventing the wheel" so to speak. Would you consider joining us at our next committee meeting? Or5 recommend others to us. We'll post the information about time and place for you and others, for a meeting in mid March.
